Cookie Policy

Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how Braiders Tools N More uses cookies and similar browser technologies on our storefront. It describes only what the site uses today.
What cookies and related technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We also use secure server-set session cookies managed by our authentication provider. These technologies help the store remember your shopping bag, keep you signed in, and let guests reopen an order confirmation securely.
Essential cookies we use
Today, Braiders Tools N More uses first-party cookies that are necessary for the storefront to work. They are not used for advertising or audience profiling.
- Guest cart cookie (
btnm_guest_cart)— an HttpOnly cookie that identifies a guest shopping bag so items persist while you browse. Lifetime: up to 30 days. - Guest order-access cookie (
btnm_guest_order_access)— an HttpOnly cookie that lets a guest reopen their order confirmation after checkout without exposing the access token in the browser address bar. Lifetime: up to 30 days. - Authentication / session cookies— when you sign in, Better Auth sets HttpOnly session cookies (prefixed
better-auth, for examplebetter-auth.session_token) so we can recognise your account across pages. These cookies are required for signed-in features such as wishlist and account access.
Why we use them
- Keep your bag and checkout flow working for guests and signed-in customers
- Protect account sessions and guest order confirmation access
- Support core security and storefront functionality
Analytics and advertising
We do not currently use analytics cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party marketing trackers on this storefront. There is no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or similar advertising technology integrated at this time.
Because we only use essential first-party cookies for functionality and security, we do not show a cookie-consent banner. If we later add non-essential analytics or marketing technologies, we will update this policy and introduce an appropriate consent preference mechanism before those tools are enabled.
Local browser storage
The storefront does not currently rely on localStorage or sessionStorage for cart, checkout, or tracking features.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you disable essential cookies, parts of the storefront may not work — for example, a guest bag may not persist, sign-in sessions may not stay active, or guest order confirmation access may fail.
Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when our technology or practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
